Position Summary: Supports departmental activities to ensure quality and accuracy in processing, maintaining and communicating regarding provider credentialing, privileging, enrollment and primary sourcing.
Maintains knowledge of Medical Staff regulatory requirements and ensuring processing meets requirement needs.
Active team member in department projects and lean initiatives.
Posiiton Reports To: Medical Staff Services Manager Essential Functions: Has expert knowledge, skills and abilities in multitasking in the healthcare area demonstrated by: Advanced knowledge and ability in communication/interpersonal skills.
Personal attentiveness, responsiveness and prompt follow-up to all customers/staff.
Application of expert word processing technology in preparation of a variety documents that are well-written, accurate and timely: Knowledge in database technology to assist with providing timely and appropriately formatted reports, data entry and tracking.
Has knowledge and ability to apply effective team-building skills by: Behaviors that show consideration, acceptance and concern for the needs and feelings of others.
Participation in Medical Staff Services department meetings and projects.
Providing support to the Medical Staff Services Manager and assisting as needed other department staff.
Will attain and maintain solid knowledge and understanding of the medical staff credentialing process by: Initiating, processing and maintaining initial and re-credentialing records for each provider type.
Providing accurate and complete provider packets for Credentials Committee review.
Assisting providers in completing credentialing and privileging information as needed.
Expirable tracking.
Ability to attain and continue advanced knowledge of the Medical Staff Documents and ability to apply DNV, NCQA or other regulatory standards to CWH Medical Staff by: Reviewing and assisting in operationalizing the Medical Staff Documents and assuring that the credentialing processes are compliant with these documents.
Preparing, maintaining and scanning all documents required for surveyors.
Has knowledge and skills necessary to develop customer driven, quality improvement processes utilizing lean methods and tools.
Will assist in provider healthplan enrollment needs, to include credentialing, roster generation, and referring provider processing needs.
Maintain quality specific data, tracking, and improvement plans for providers.
Oversee ongoing monitoring site reviews for provider participation.
Assist with provider and facility commercial and government payor enrollment.
Plan and assist with provider inpatient onboarding and orientation.
Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.

Qualifications: Required: Must have successfully completed an AA or Bachelors Degree (previous work experience considered in lieu of education requirement). Good understanding of or aptitude to learn regulatory standards and other legal issues that affect provider and facility credentialing, privileging, and enrollment.
Must possess advanced computer skills related to Windows navigation, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe, keyboarding, and email communication.
Desired: Three plus years of experience in a healthcare setting interacting with providers, executives and multiple hospital departments.
