Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor, Medical Staff Services. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for supervising the daily activities and staff for credentialing and recredentialing of medical staff practitioners Coordinates all file audits for Delegated Credentialing Department of Health DOH The Join Commission TJC and other regulatory agencies Analyzes and interprets the submitted applications to determine regulatory compliance Manages data and prepares statistical reports as requested Job Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising the Credentialing Specialists and Credentials Associates Provides nbsp;guidance to the team and nbsp;oversees team compliance in the activities for provider credentialing Performs other duties as nbsp;assigned Expedites problem solving and provides service support to physicians and other professional nbsp; nbsp;contacts as necessary Responsible for extracting data and preparing statistical reports Provides orientation training nbsp; nbsp;and guidance to new employees Coordinates and assigns all Initial Provisional Focused and Ongoing Professional Practice nbsp;Evaluations for providers to assure they are processed as required and in accordance with Joint nbsp; Commission standards Responsible for the initial appointment and reappointment of medical staff practitioners Compares nbsp;and evaluates courses of action after considering the impact and repercussions of actions nbsp; Responsible for all aspects of the credentialing and re credentialing process Performs review of nbsp;applications for completeness and accuracy Coordinates all file audits for Delegated Credentialing DOH TJC and other regulatory agencies nbsp; Assures security and confidentiality of credential files Cactus and all other documents related nbsp;to credentialing In the absence of nbsp;the Director attends meetings and takes minutes when appropriate nbsp; Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor s degree required or the equivalent combination of education and experience Certified Professional Credential Specialist CPCS by National Association of Medical Staff Services NAMSS 3 5 years of experience with medical staff credentialing required Preferred Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $88,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
