CPMSM certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services. Preferred: Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and other relevant regulations. Five years of experience as a Medical Services Professional in a hospital.

The Medical Staff Services Director oversees the Medical Staff Services department, ensuring effective leadership, management, and operations. This role involves collaborating with the Regional Chief Medical Officer and Medical Staff Leaders to plan and coordinate medical staff activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies. Key Responsibilities:

Partner with credentialing specialists to address and document issues with initial and reappointment applications. Perform audits on initial and recredentialing applications. Monitor reappointments to meet TJC (24 months) and NCQA (36 months) standards. In the director's absence, work with IT on e-prescribe, 340-B Program, system access for medical staff, and medical record suspension support.
