POSITION: Medical Staff Recruiter & Credentialing Assistant
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 1.0 FTE (80 hrs/pay period)
WORK SCHEDULE: Day/Evening
The Medical Staff Recruiter plans, creates and coordinates strategic initiatives that support the sufficient long-term supply of high-quality medical providers for Grand Itasca. MSR will interact with management to create and deliver strategic recruitment initiatives that result in successful provider recruitment and retention. The MSR assists with the medical staff credentialing process and assures that all credentialing and privileging efforts are in compliance with licensing and regulatory agencies.
The ideal candidate for the Medical Staff Recruiter role will be able to understand provider staffing needs, develop effective marketing campaigns to attract potential provider candidates, and coordinate interviews with provider candidates.
A MSR is directly responsible for developing the primary relationship with each physician they introduce to the organization. The MSR must have the knowledge, skill, and ability to identify providers who possess the capability and interest to work full time.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
1.Develop and implement strategies to identify candidates to meet the organization's staffing needs.
2.Respond to practice and candidate inquiries and serve as a resource for day-to-day recruiting activities.
3.Serve as a day-to-day resource and expert to recruitment team members in the area of provider education and discipline background, training components, and skill requirements.
4.Consult with resources within the system and externally to appropriately evaluate provider qualifications for matches to practice opportunities.
5.Assist in the development of market research to use as a foundation for sourcing strategies and promotional materials.
6.Develop and maintain relationships with training programs and professional associations.
7.Create and maintain a list of short and long-range recruiting priorities.
8.Coordinate the activities of the Grand Itasca physician recruiting committee. Keep the recruitment committee informed of progress and prospects.
9.Coordinate physician interview schedules and information gathering trips. Organize the participation of key stakeholders in the site visit/interview process.
10. Determine which firms to use based on effectiveness. Operate within a set budget for use of outside firms.
11. Work with locums providers and agencies as needed.
12. Collaborate with supervisor and leadership team to manage the offers of employment and related terms of employment.
13. Maintain and revise employment agreements and professional service agreements.
14. Research, develop and document processes related to immigration for candidates who require work authorizations through sponsorship by Fairview, utilizing legal counsel as appropriate.
1.Bachelor's Degree in marketing, public relations or a business field preferred.
2.Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management as well as members of other organizations.
3.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4.1-year recruitment experience or 3-5 years professional level experience working with physicians required, 5+ years' experience in recruitment preferred.
5.Ability to manage multiple, rapidly changing priorities effectively and able to build consensus across multiple decision makers in a timely manner.
6.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Exceptional communication skills, including business writing and research, and the ability to communicate tactfully and effectively.
