The Medical Staff Coordinator, coordinates the operation of the Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital Medical Staff Office. The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for the Medical Staff credentialing, reappointment and privileging process.
Processes all Medical Staff and Specified Health Professional Staff applications for initial appointments, provisional and biennial reappointments, and temporary privileges in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, policies and procedures, and regulatory and accrediting standards with minimal supervision. In addition, the Medical Staff Coordinator assists the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Staff President and other assigned physicians and team members with administrative tasks.
Education: High School graduate; graduate of a secretarial/business school preferred. Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties required.
Licensures & Certifications: None required.
Experience: 3-5 years of credentialing experience; 5 years recent physician office or hospital medical staff experience preferred. Minimum 3 years recent secretarial experience required. Microsoft Professional; minimum typing of 60 words per minute; excellent organizational skills; excellent oral and writing communication skills; ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
