Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of administrative tasks to support colleagues and management pertaining to the credentialing processes of physicians and other licensed health care professionals of Care New England Health System (CNE).
Responsibilities:
Sends, receives, and reviews initial applications and reappointment applications, and requests missing information.
Tracks license and certification expirations to confirm renewals.
Performs online primary source verifications, as directed.
Updates the database in accordance with standardized workflows and data entry rules.
Prepares verification letters, as directed.
Performs administrative functions such as ordering supplies, scheduling meetings, preparing Medical Staff communications, attending staff meetings.
Applies knowledge, expertise, sound judgment and consults with team members as necessary to resolve questions or concerns.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Two years office or administrative experience, preferably in the healthcare or medical field.
Must be self-motivated, learn quickly, possess good organizational skills and able to multi-task.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively and collaboratively with staff, physicians, and other clinicians in a courteous manner.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and comfortable working with database software.
Must be able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
