Responsibilities

  • Medical Staff operations practices and procedures are in accordance with DNV and other regulatory agencies and hospital policies.

  • Coordinate process for incoming and outgoing providers (Physician and Advance Practice Providers (APPs)

  • Coordinate receipt of credentialing and privileging applications following processing and primary source verification by the Credentialing Verification Office (CVO); perform review and analysis, identification and follow up of "red flag" items; prepare files for review and recommendation by the medical staff.

  • Assist in coordination, tracking and monitoring of the OPPE and FPPE process ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Medical Staff policies.

  • Analyze OPPE and FPPE data, as appropriate, and coordinate follow-up with Director and physician leaders.

  • Organize and maintain provider files and records in accordance with established principles of legal documentation and confidentiality.

  • Liaison between senior hospital executives and medical leaders to promote effective communication and foster collaborative relationships.

  • Manage the reappointment process, notify managers when data is needed.

  • Coordinate ongoing provider processes including, but not limited to: licensure renewals, evaluations, oversight of medical staff membership, privilege compliance, and access oversight to all platforms across the Lovelace Health System; provider performance evaluations, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and annual reporting requirements; internal and external database management.

  • Take ownership of understanding the Medical Staff Bylaws and advise providers, management, and administrators on compliance issues as appropriate.

  • Participate in orientation programs for Medical Staff Officers, department and committee chairpersons regarding duties to assist them in performing their functions.

  • Participate in orientation programs for residents and onboarding, regarding duties to assist them in performing their functions.

  • Schedule, prepare, and help lead medical staff meetings such as but not limited to: Credentialing Committee, Medical Executive Committee and Peer Review Committee.

  • Maintain a master calendar for all medical staff meetings and proper notification to all hospital service line departments of such meetings, taking and coordinating all meeting minutes, policies, forms, and participation that is reported up to MEC and Governing Board.

  • Provide clerical oversight related to the maintenance and retrieval of information on privileged medical staff.

  • Manage requirements for reporting federal and state mandated information and established systems to achieve compliance with the state licensure agencies and National Practitioner Data Bank.

  • Monitor and request access through Service Now, including account expirations and troubleshooting, as well as requesting Net Learning Modules be assigned.

  • Provide other administrative support services and duties as may be requested by hospital administration, the Chief of Staff, Chief Medical Officer, and other hospital service line directors.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school Diploma or GED

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • CPCS or CMSC Certification

  • Three (3) years' previous experience in healthcare

  • Associates Degree in Business Admin. or equivalent
