Medical Sonographer

Genius Talent has partnered with a leading hospital in Harrisonburg, VA who have an amazing full-time opportunity to join their dynamic team as Medical Sonographer. In this role, you will excel in performing diagnostic and interventional ultrasound procedures that demand a high level of technical expertise and independent judgment, all under the direction of a qualified physician.

This position provides relocation assistance, sign on bonus, and benefits package. Responsibilities: Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and cardiac scans, as prescribed by physicians. Conduct patient interviews and assessments to gather medical history and information relevant to the ultrasound procedure.

Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly for accurate imaging. Capture high-quality diagnostic images using soundwaves, paying careful attention to patient positioning and transducer placement. Analyze ultrasound images in real-time, making adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible diagnostic quality.

Accurately document and maintain patient records, including images and pertinent clinical information in electronic medical records (EMRs). Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members to relay important findings and collaborate on patient care. Adhere to safety protocols and use protective equipment to minimize patient and staff exposure to ultrasound waves, ensuring a safe environment. Requirements: Degree in Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or a related field, or successful completion of a training program recognized by the registry board (ARRT or ARDMS). Active registration with ARRT or ARDMS is mandatory.
