Medical Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' psychosocial needs and develop appropriate care plans
• Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Advocate for patients' rights and help them navigate through the healthcare system
• Collaborate with community resources and services to provide necessary support

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid license as a Medical Social Worker
• Prior experience working in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team and independently
• Empathy, compassion, and understanding of patient needs
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
