Registered Nurse- Medical Service Office

Weekdays Only- Part time

Responsibilities

• To provide nursing support for all functions of the Medical Services office.

• Helps oversee daily office logistics such as front desk customer service, supervision of non-exempt personnel, ordering appropriate office supplies and running the lab, etc.

• Assists with orientation and training for new employees in the department.

• Brings a focused, calming influence to crisis situations and assists with the direction of the

• appropriate action.

• Encourages and supports others to work cooperatively to accomplish tasks by engaging them in

• problem solving techniques to achieve solutions that lead to improvement opportunities.

• Willingly accepts assignments outside job description when needed in the absence of other staff members or as requested by supervisor.

• Assist with Employee Health - provide first aide care for any injured employees, determine if a higher level of care is needed, in conjunction with their department head/manager. Provide assistance for any employees who become ill on the job.

• Obtain Covid 19 Rapid testing materials and test employees as indicated.

• Obtain flu Rapid testing materials and test employees as indicated.

• Liaise between Mercy Lab and the phlebotomists and the neighborhoods prn.

• Manage the phlebotomists with assigned tasks, addressing any errors or concerns, and scheduling.

• Enters schedules and monitors punches in the time and attendance system. Exceptional accuracy and timeliness exceeds standard.

• Assist with new employee hire medical visits and paperwork.

• Monitors office supplies, ensuring that appropriate supplies are available at all times. Exceptional pro-activeness and attention to task exceeds standard.

• Other duties as assigned.
