Medical Science Liaison
Ideal locations - Orlando / Miami Tampa
The Medical Science Liaison position is a field-based position within Medical Affairs reporting to the Associate Medical Director.
Obtain and maintain full proficiency in disease state and product knowledge and serve as a credible and valued representative in a variety of interactions with key stakeholders.
Provide balanced medical information for HCPs and address questions about safety and off label use of company products based on available scientific data.
Establish scientific and clinical relationships with thought leaders and academic centers to engage in scientific exchange and maintain a reliable presence with those scientific leaders to ensure they have a medical contact within the company.
Provide non-promotional educational programs for residency and mid-level training programs, community institutions and hospitals.
Proactively and reactively coordinate customer facing educational activities.
Assist in training and certifying new Sales Representatives.
Conduct regular and extensive reviews of the literature, develop presentations and assist with publications and medical communications.
Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments in assigned therapeutic area and proactively report competitive activities and events that can influence the use of company products.
Actively participate in advisory boards, speaker training events, clinical investigator meetings and regional and national conferences when required.
Adhere to corporate compliance in all activities, including those related to scientific interactions with internal and external groups
Advanced degree (M.D., Pharm.D. or a Ph.D.); or clinical degree (NP, CNM) with previous MSL experience
Women's Health experience required
Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated effectiveness to work cross-functional and independently
Demonstrated effective presentation skills
Demonstrated organization and time management skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to be adaptable to changing work environments and responsibilities
Valid driver's license required
Ability to travel >60%
