Our client is a very highly thought of Cancer Diagnostics company that is expanding their field Medical Affairs team. This company is on the cutting edge of Cancer Detection, and you can be at a company that is making a huge impact in the lives of patients.

The Opportunity

The Medical Science Liaison role at this excellent company is very robust and satisfying. If youre an experienced Oncology MSL who loves science, thrives when wearing many hats, and excel at educating others, this is a great job for you. They have asked us to introduce this opening to people who have elements of the below profile:

-PhD, MD, or PharmD preferred

-They would look at Masters Level Genetic Counselors that qualify otherwise

-PhD with a Molecular Genetics background is ideal

-Oncology or Cancer Diagnostics MSL experience required.

-Ability to work within a small, fast-paced environment.

VIEW JOBS 11/12/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-02-10T00:00 <p>Using your seasoned leadership experience in clinical laboratory operations, you will provide leadership and oversight of laboratory operations executing clinical diagnostic tests as part of our company’s product pipeline. You will develop, lead, and drive the laboratory operations activities enabling innovation and integration of novel diagnostics assays into our company’s product pipeline. You will oversee and have overall responsibility of our company’s clinical and research laboratory operations including responsibility for development and support of our products and services to meet customer needs. </p> <p><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and maintain cross departmental workflows to support ongoing R&amp;D laboratory operations and clinical operations.</li> <li>Monitor quality management program.</li> <li>Oversee auditing and assessment of departmental quality control and quality assurance.</li> <li>Guide the site reagent manufacturing and qualification efforts.</li> <li>In coordination with Senior staff, plan for necessary facility changes to accommodate new equipment, analysts, or projects.</li> <li>In coordination with Senior staff, contribute and execute as needed plans for product distribution, packaging, fulfillment, logistics, customer service, billing and reimbursement strategy</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Represent the company through deepened relationships with vendors.</li> <li>Develop and interact relations with an expanding customer base.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Responsible for site expansion of multi-omics diagnostics lab with continually growing workforce.</li> <li>Lead the day-to-day operations via optimal scheduling of personnel, with an emphasis on high productivity, efficiency, and data quality.</li> <li>Establish and communicate a clear vision for the business to customers, business partners and employees, enhancing the company's credibility and maintaining competitive advantage.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, federal regulations governing clinical reference laboratory Quality, and transport of clinical specimens.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the Product development team in the creation and approval of reference ranges and appropriate test/method selection for a given clinical indication.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Plan and execute integrations &amp; initiatives for change &amp; laboratory improvements</li> <li>Participate in the review and/or approval of new test or service feasibilities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive continued growth through the deployment of proprietary, innovative tests; superior pricing strategy; services that enhance customer relationships; increased sales force effectiveness.</li> <li>Build and foster an environment of excellence and inclusion by assessing current talent and developing a high-performing team while establishing clear direction of responsibilities, objectives and goals that maintain an ongoing focus on business development and superior client service. Provide employees authority, training, information and resources to achieve their full potential and maintain a culture of accountability and execution.</li> <li>Position and communicate the vision and services of the organization to customers, business partners and employees by maintaining a high degree of external visibility to enhance the division's credibility and maintain competitive advantage.</li> <li>Support the development of collaborative relationships and foster an environment of open communication that stimulates a team oriented and inclusive atmosphere to solve problems and identify new business opportunities.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required with a focus in healthcare highly preferred; advanced degree (MBA or PhD) preferred.</li> <li>Minimum of 10 years leadership experience in clinical laboratory operations/experience running lab-related operations.</li> </ul> <ul><li>Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively with multiple groups, including R&amp;D, Clinical Laboratory, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial to successful product launch and beyond.</li></ul> <ul> <li>Demonstrate detailed understanding of laboratory management regulations such us CLIA, and CAP minimally.
