Evolution Spine, LLC is a Dallas-based manufacturer of medical devices that are used in the treatment of orthopedic conditions such as degenerative disc disease. The company has been commercially active for 7 years, and has received regulatory clearance for a portfolio of implants manufactured from PEEK. Work is continuing to broaden the product portfolio to include various fixation products (plates, screws), implants made using additive manufacturing methods, and novel instrumentation to aid the surgeon in their work.
To date Evolution has relied on outsourced engineering services to design products to internally defined specifications. With the goal of accelerating time to market and control, the company now intends to expand its staff to assume a more direct role in design and engineering processes while continuing to utilize outsourced resources as appropriate for any specific project.
Medical Devise Sales Representative
Sales Representative will be responsible for initiating and developing new sales opportunities with potential customers. The position is also responsible for establishing leads, setting up meetings and preparing to present company services to executives on site. This position will cover Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana territory.
Essential Job Functions
Identify potential customer prospects through use of available tools, including internet, trade journals, attendance at trade shows, networking with healthcare industry contacts
Focuses business development and sales efforts by investigating potential customer prospects to gain in depth understanding of business (size, location, services, ownership, economic performance, etc.) in order to select customer prospects with a high probability of interest in services/products of Business
Develop and maintain customer prospect contact list and initiate contact with customer prospects at a senior management or ownership/corporate level
Schedule meetings with qualified prospective customers after establishing a preliminary interest in services/products of Business
Directly meet with customer prospects to present services/products of Business in an accurate factual manner
Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the prospective customer type and related needs.
Close business development and sales opportunities properly in accordance with Company guidelines in a timely and complete manner
Maintain ongoing contact with key customer personnel to support a satisfactory level of customer support.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
Contribute to team related business development and sales efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
Attend meetings in person, via web-related resources, conference calls or other means, related to sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments related to Company and Business. Attend trade association meetings and related events
Complete all Company required training satisfactorily and on a timely basis
B.S./B.A. Business Management or related field
3 Years of documented successful sales experience in healthcare
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales and activity quotas
Excellent customer relationship building skills
3 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to interface with a variety of roles to accomplish objectives
