Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking a Medical Records Expeditor to support our Veteran Affairs Operations in San Dimas, CA

What part would you play in this role?

As a Medical Reports Expeditor, you will be responsible for completing routine medical records office work such as scanning, organizing, and filing medical documents. Communicates with government agencies, regional offices, and QTC personnel to obtain and/or send medical records data.

In this rewarding role, you will:

• Review case management system to identify outstanding reports and diagnostic results.

• Communicate with medical offices and diagnostic facilities to obtain reports.

• Review exam reports sent over from medical providers to ensure all tests ordered have been completed

• Upload diagnostic results received to the case management system Coordinate with medical providers as needed for clarification of reports

• Prioritize all requests from the client to expedite delivery of a case.

• Proactively notify Quality Assurance (QA's) regarding the availability of uploaded and signed reports for high priority cases.

• Obtain late reports an diagnostics by phone, email, fax and/or QTC portal

• Validate CPT codes

• Answer incoming calls and scheduling and rescheduling patients

You must have:

• High School diploma, or equivalent (GED) + 2 years of experience in lieu
• 0 to 1 years of medical records and healthcare experience.

Preferred:

• Experience with medical coding and documentation

• Excellent understanding of basic medical terminology.

• Ability to recognize diagnostics

Typical Day:

• 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Pay and Benefits:

Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.00
