Job Description:

Position: Medical Records Technician

We are currently looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Records Technician to become an integral part of our team at MaineGeneral Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical skills associated with medical record procedures.

  • File medical records accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Assemble, analyze, and maintain complete medical records, including creating or reactivating retired/stored records.

  • Assist in reviewing requests for the release of medical information, ensuring proper authorization.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.

  • Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications and multiple computer applications.

  • Ability to work independently with effective time management and problem-solving skills, managing multiple priorities.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
