Review and analyze outpatient treatment/health records to verify that all components of the record are present, complete, and filed in proper sequence
Utilize electronic medical records systems to scan, save and insert viable medical documentation into the electronic medical record.
Prepare and process authorization for disclosure of documents on all requests for copies of medical records from patients, physicians, or other medical treatment facilities.
Research medical records, paper or electronic, and computer programs for specific medical documentation and extracts pertinent information relating to injuries, diseases, operations and complete medical histories.
Screen, assemble, and pack Medical records for retirement of various categories of records in accordance with regulations.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel 5% for this position.
