We specialize in Chart Retrieval Services, Credentialing Site Reviews, and Electronic Medical Record Storage. The ECS division has grown to over 2,000 dedicated staff members across the United States. We continue to meet the growing demand for our services by expanding our network of skilled staff to provide our clients with immediate and secure professional services.

ECS has an established nationwide presence and we are looking for individuals with medical record experience. This is a temporary position where individuals will be engaged to scan medical records in various provider offices for up to three months. This is a project related position and applicants must be able to commit to the project for 12 weeks. Applicants must be available to be scheduled Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Training and equipment will be provided. Compensation is hourly and varies based on project. Competitive reimbursements for drive time and mileage are available. There is also opportunity to earn aweekly bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to and from medical offices arriving on time, prepared to work and in professional appearance

  • Scan medical charts at various medical facilities using company provided equipment.

  • Upload scanned medical charts to our corporate data center using your high-speed internet connection

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Professional

  • Must have an extensive knowledge of medical records and terminology

  • Must have proficient computer skills and be capable of utilizing various EMR systems

  • Must have the ability to work independently

  • Must dress and act in a professional manner

  • Must have strong communication & organizational skills

  • Must comply with all aspects of ECSs code of conduct including but not limited to Compliance with the Law and Regulations, Security Policies and Practices, Honesty and Fairness, Diversity and Respect, Conflict of Interest, Confidentiality, Health Care Fraud, Waste and Abuse. Technical

  • Must have in home high speed wireless internet and a functioning printer

  • Must have a functioning personal computer Must have the ability to maneuver a 45lb equipment case in and out of your personal vehicle

  • Must have reliable transportation (capable of traveling up to a minimum of 50 miles one way per day)

VIEW JOBS 9/21/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-20T00:00 Job Description To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by: * Ensuring optimal support of laboratory testing activities through timely and accurate specimen collection * Receiving and processing inpatient/outpatient specimens consistent with test requirements and specimen stability limits * Performing EKGs, as applicable * Processing customer requests (with the understanding that patients, visitors, all hospital staff, physicians and fellow co-workers are all our customers) and resolving customer issues in a fantastically friendly, courteous, professional and timely manner * Using all resources in the most efficient manner. * Acts as lead for processing per the schedule rotation. Primary Accountabilities * Understands and applies knowledge of test specimen requirements and utilizes available reference materials to ensure that all required specimens are collected and no omission errors or inadequate specimens result. * Uses care in performance of duties to avoid clerical errors at the points of registration or test order from Reference Lab Requisitions (errors: tests ordered under wrong account, tests ordered under wrong facility, tests ordered under wrong physician, wrong test ordered, or not ordering tests as indicated); as applicable. * Complies with policies/procedures/processes in the collection and processing of patient specimens and provision of patient services, including offsite phlebotomy services as applicable. * Meets collection turn-around-times >98% daily. * Performs venipunctures with <3% recollects.</FONT> * Performs blood culture collections with <3% contamination rate.</FONT> * Assures valid patient results as evidenced by zero patient or sample identification errors in the pre-analytical and post-analytical phases of laboratory procedures per evaluation period. * Understands and provides quality patient care by providing complete and accurate information on all collection materials (labeling errors during collection defined as: rejected specimen due to manual misspelling of patient name or rejected specimens due to missing required information). * Ensures the correct procedures are performed on the correct patient by verifying two forms of patient identification. * Verifies orders from the medical chart/requisition. * Verifies that the label (s) is ordered correctly and corresponds to the requisition, as applicable, * Practices aseptic and sterile techniques. * Verifies that the test printed on the label is ordered correctly and corresponds to the requisition, as applicable. * Meets safe driving requirements and maintains uncompromised specimen integrity during transporting of specimens via automobile, as applicable. * Adheres to Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals. * Reports all malfunctioning equipment (non-IT) to the BioMed department, fellow associatesand management. * Reports all malfunctioning IT equipment (i.e., telephones, PC's, paper printers, etc.) to the IT department, fellow associates and management. * Completes specified jobs/tasks by deadline and/or provides requested information in a timely and concise manner. * Maintains current BLS certification, American Medical Technologists or National Healthcare Certification and renews all applicable certifications before the expiration date in compliance with all renewal criteria; as applicable. * Knowledge regarding location of emergency equipment/supplies and how to use such equipment/supplies. * Familiar with the Health First Emergency Kardex and responsibilities in relation to specified emergent codes. * Responsible for hurricane preparedness and their particular responsibilities as a Health First associate. * As lead person, must notify Emergency/Call off pager if there are emergency/delays in processing. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Must have a valid Florida Drivers License. * Phlebotomy certification from an accredited national phlebotomy certification agency, or certification from an accredited phlebotomy program requiring a minimum of 120 hours of course work, or two years of phlebotomy experience, including geriatric and pediatric collections. * EKG certification and experience, as applicable * Proficiency in the skills under Inpatient and Outpatient Phlebotomy preferred. * Current AHA BLS certification or achieved prior to start date and maintain. * Strong computer skills. * Ability to prioritize and organize to maximize quality, value and productivity. * Medical Terminology knowledge preferred. * Willing and able to work with bio-hazardous/toxic materials following OSHA guidelines. * Must be able to cover alternative shifts to cover department when requested by Supervisor. * Must be able to work weekends and holidays. * Knowledge of quality assurance policies. * Specimen processing experience preferred, from either another similar job or cross-training within a Health First Laboratory, as applicable. Physical Demands * Ability to adapt to a combination of sitting, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting throughout the shift. * Ability to move, lift or position patients. * Ability to push wheelchairs, stretcher and beds. * Ability to be flexible in covering required shifts (mandatory overtime). * Ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted, several times a day. * Willing and able to work with bio-hazardous/toxic materials following OSHA guidelines. * Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks. * Must be able to stand for extended periods.
