Health Plus Management LLC (HPM) provides management services to medical practices specializing in the area of Pain Management and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. HPM manages 30 locations throughout Long Island, NYC including the 5 boroughs, Westchester and NJ. Hours:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing all charts prior to the doctor's appointment to ensure that all medical records are on file
  • Obtain records from outside sources for preview prior to the office visit
  • Prepare complete Medical Records for the Billing Department as requested.
  • Create chart folders (includes adhering of all labels and hole punching)
  • Pull charts daily for patients who are scheduled
  • Review charts to make sure all patient demographics information is complete and accurate
  • Prepare patient charts to include demographic information, previous x-rays, tests, etc.
  • Collect all necessary paperwork and authorizations needed for billing
  • Scan information to patient's electronic record
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Preferred bilingual in Spanish & English

Assists in patient care and administrative duties necessary todeliver quality patient care. Performs various duties as a member of the healthteam in the treatment and care of patient and their families and also assistswith tasks to support the unit. Assists in the creation and maintenance of medical charts. * Retrieves lab, pathologyand diagnostic testing, and operative reports and data from computer systems * Checks, verifies andupdates insurance information utilizing internal or electronic sources. * Obtains and documentsmanaged care referrals, required pre-certifications and authorizations asnecessary * Supports surgical orprocedure scheduling in conjunction with Surgical Coordinator or other similarrole(s) verifying times with patients; preparing charts, pre-admissions andconsent forms * Maintains a workingknowledge of New York State third party payer eligibility requirements forprivate and hospital billing * Utilizes and understandsbasic medical terminology; able to complete visit encounter forms and entersICD10-CM and CPT information into computerized systems as appropriate * Assists in training,orientation and education of entry level and or/float staff.
