Your Job:

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The Coder II classifies and abstracts inpatients / outpatient diagnoses and procedures which are assigned appropriate ICD10-CM, ICD 10 PC and/or CPT codes for optimal reimbursement. Establishes an accurate database for case mix indices and for statistical reporting and trend analysis. The Coder II is proficient in coding DRG based records as well as all other payers.

Your Job Requirements:

  • High school Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Must have completed a certified coding program

  • Prefer an associate degree in Health Information Technology

  • RHIA, RHIT, or CCS preferred

  • Anatomy and Physiology with completion of an approved coding program (i.e. AHIMA certification, AAPC)

  • ICD-10 coding training required

  • Coding experience in an acute care setting with experience using an encoder

  • 1 Year work experience preferred

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Medical Records Supervisor. The Medical Records Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the Medical Records staff to ensure accurate and timely receipt of assigned facilities. Responsibilities * Supervises the workflow of the medical records processing to maintain expected levels of production. * Supervision and oversight of the staff and duties assigned with regards to the execution of company policies and procedures. * Conduct monthly staff meetings with updates on processes, company news, outstanding issues, etc. * Assist with the interview process, human resource issues, and evaluation of personnel as directed by the Department Director. * Oversight of employee training and orientation to ensure that all elements of on-boarding have been met, including the review of work product. * Assist with the ongoing review process and recommends improvements to assure resolution of deficient records. * Maintenance of department records for payroll, audit processes, facility scorecards, production logs, MySheridan files, Guidebook updates, etc. * Assists with the monthly, weekly report reconciliation and department visuals. * Maintains confidentiality of all information concerning patients, employees and/or company business. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * Very strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. * Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. * Demonstrates ability in leadership or managing others. * Strong interpersonal, project management and mentoring skills. Ability to make decisions in a rapidly growing, professional, service oriented environment. * Understanding of healthcare compliance, education and billing Education/Experience: * Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University and 2 or more years of related, progressive experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Computer Skills: * Microsoft Office Suite * Web based applications * Skill in creating data extracts and/or reports from system * Knowledge and proficient skill level with Report Writers * Healthcare Billing System (preferably AS400 and MISYS) If you are ready to join an exciting, progressive company and have a strong work ethic, join our team of experts!
