Position Summary:

Full-time position available for our Bellingham and Everson Clinics. We are looking for bilingual in English/Spanish, English/Punjabi, English/Ukranian, English/Russian applicants. Being bilingual is preferred not required. Please apply even if you do not speak the language. Applicant(s) must be flexible and available to work extended hours including Saturdays as needed.

We are looking for customer service oriented candidates who are Bilingual in English/Spanish. Applicant will be responsible for processing patient information. Making medical appointments, contacting patients via phone on behalf of Sea Mar, and taking messages, etc. The ideal candidate must possess some problem-solving skills and must be able to communicate efficiently with our patients and be sensitive to their needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.

  • Minimum one-year experience in a medical setting and medical terminology preferred.

  • Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, Computer and typing skills are required.

  • Must demonstrate and maintain a high level of work ethic and professionalism as well as be able to multi-task and properly use basic office software.

  • Excellent verbal, customer service, and written skills are necessary for this position.

  • Good organizational skills are a must.

  • Call Center experience preferred but not required.

  • Familiarity with EPIC desired.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

VIEW JOBS 9/18/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-17T00:00 <p>Job Description</p><p>Description</p><p>PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Lab Technician -or- Medical Technologist in Core Testing for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position.</p><p>Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.</p><p>Medical Technologist</p><p>Hourly compensation starts at $36.40, more depending on experience.</p><p>JOB SUMMARY</p><p>Responsible for performing complex laboratory procedures and tests in areas such as blood bank, chemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology, using established protocols and procedures. Monitors, screens and troubleshoots devices, tests and procedures, recognizing anomalies, and making corrections to ensure quality.</p><p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p><ul><li><p>Evaluates specimens for testing, utilizes appropriate criteria and upholds established performance standards. Applies established criteria for testing, and analysis of entire process from preparation, conducting test, functioning of devices and procedures to ensure quality test results. Performs waived, moderate and high complexity laboratory tests.</p></li><li><p>Maintains equipment and tools; performs quality assurance testing, routine calibration and ensures optimal performance.</p></li><li><p>Participates in the evaluations of techniques and procedures. Develops, evaluates and implements new procedures or protocols and tests.</p></li><li><p>Consults with clinicians, supervisor and other caregivers as appropriate on test results, requirements and testing protocols.</p></li><li><p>Gives direction and guidance to other caregivers, trains new caregivers and students, and accesses competencies. Provides in-service training for continuing education requirements.</p></li><li><p>Maintains appropriate records for specimens, tests and data. Utilizes computer systems in reporting and documenting analysis.</p></li><li><p>Participates in department in-services and continuing education programs, attending lectures, workshops and video presentation as required. Participates in required competency assessment and proficiency testing activities. Participates in required competency assessment and proficiency testing activities.
