Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly motivated, experienced operational and strategic Planner with an emphasis on Medical Planning and Aeromedical Evacuation for a position in the Joint Distribution Process Analysis Center (JDPAC) at USTRANSCOM with a mission to provide medical planning expertise to the USTRANSCOM Surgeon.

You will be acting as a Planner on the Surgeon's J3 team and provide modeling support for a wide range of medically driven operational needs for the command.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze, develop, and evaluate detailed plans, goals, and objectives for USTRANSCOM operational and strategic support.

  • Evaluate and modifies existing plans in response to changing environments.

  • Incorporate Global Patient Movement (PM) principles, provide guidance and synchronize efforts on strategic, operational, and tactical PM.

  • Document planning recommendations and decisions in appropriate formats to meet Combatant Command requirements.

  • Identify non-standard or emerging operational requirements, assess impact on assigned tasks, and develop recommendations.

  • Ensure mission analysis and courses of action (COAs) are coordinated with other offices and stakeholders, adjudicate conflicting perspectives, and compile information into a combatant command order.

  • Advise USTRANSCOM components and other military components on operations, policy, and military orders to integrate Global PM operations at all levels of command.

  • Integrate medical operations into Joint Operations Activities.

  • Actively participate with combatant commands and interagency organizations in operational and strategic planning to provide guidance and incorporate AE capabilities.

  • Instruct, train, and lead the branch in applying Joint Planning Process methodology to the analysis of data, determination of the operational and strategic implications, evaluation of authorities, and development of command relationships.

  • Prepare and deliver oral presentations. Develop a variety of correspondence and other documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years' experience. (Master's degree and 4 years is sufficient as well). Military Education Level (command and general staff college service equivalent) of military schooling plus 5 years of task related experience OR a combined 10 years of military operational experience (5 of which earned as E-6 or O-3 or above) can be used in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience in and with the Aeromedical Evacuation (AE) enterprise and the En-Route Care (ERC) system.

  • Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact and have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated skills in solving problems, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.

  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance (an Interim clearance is required to commence task work).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Northrop Grumman is seeking for an experienced individual for a Senior Principal Logistics Management Analyst role in the Strategic Plans, Policy and Logistics Directorate at USTRANSCOM with a mission to provide analysis and Combatant Command Campaign Plan (CCMD-CP) development support to improve the nation's ability to move and sustain forces throughout the globe. This position is located on the CCMD-CP development team at Scott AFB, Illinois, and will provide support covering a wide range of operational and business needs to insure the Campaign Plan is fully developed, ready for senior level approval, and published as doctrine within the required timeframe. Role & Responsibilities: * Applies mastery level skills in Joint Planning related to the application of adaptive/deliberate planning procedures and techniques to logistics, deployment, mobility and distribution planning in support of COCOM OPLANS and CONPLANS. * Serves as a lead support planner in a small cell of planners and/or analysts responsible for Mission Analysis, Course of Action Development briefings, draft Course of Action Analysis, and War-gaming products. * Contributes to the development of a Base Concept Plan, Appendixes, Annexes, and forecasted movement requirements. * Requires familiarity with military strategic directives and USTRANSCOM processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of enterprise stakeholders. * Must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to retrieve data from a broad range of sources, compile the data into standardized formats with sufficient quality to conduct analytic studies, and to apply basic analytic tools and techniques to produce decision-support products. * Planning product output will typically be in MS Excel, PDF, PowerPoint, MS Word, or web format. Examples include staff action decision packages prepared for military senior leader approval to include briefing slides, Program, Objectives, Action and Milestones, and Synchronization Matrices. * Position requires a balance of functional and writing skills, and positive people skills for working in a team environment Basic Qualifications: * Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years' experience. * Operational experience including planning and executing combined and joint operations at the theater or component level, knowledge of combat arms, logistics, civil-military operations, USTRANSCOM's area of responsibility (or functional area) and task related experience. * Balance of functional and well-developed writing skills with a proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with SharePoint functions and Task Management Tool. * Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact and have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated skills in solving problems, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction. * Proven experience prioritizing workload effectively to meet deadlines and work objectives. * U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance; with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
