Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly motivated, experienced operational and strategic Planner with an emphasis on Medical Planning and Aeromedical Evacuation for a position in the Joint Distribution Process Analysis Center (JDPAC) at USTRANSCOM with a mission to provide medical planning expertise to the USTRANSCOM Surgeon.
You will be acting as a Planner on the Surgeon's J3 team and provide modeling support for a wide range of medically driven operational needs for the command.
Key Responsibilities include:
Analyze, develop, and evaluate detailed plans, goals, and objectives for USTRANSCOM operational and strategic support.
Evaluate and modifies existing plans in response to changing environments.
Incorporate Global Patient Movement (PM) principles, provide guidance and synchronize efforts on strategic, operational, and tactical PM.
Document planning recommendations and decisions in appropriate formats to meet Combatant Command requirements.
Identify non-standard or emerging operational requirements, assess impact on assigned tasks, and develop recommendations.
Ensure mission analysis and courses of action (COAs) are coordinated with other offices and stakeholders, adjudicate conflicting perspectives, and compile information into a combatant command order.
Advise USTRANSCOM components and other military components on operations, policy, and military orders to integrate Global PM operations at all levels of command.
Integrate medical operations into Joint Operations Activities.
Actively participate with combatant commands and interagency organizations in operational and strategic planning to provide guidance and incorporate AE capabilities.
Instruct, train, and lead the branch in applying Joint Planning Process methodology to the analysis of data, determination of the operational and strategic implications, evaluation of authorities, and development of command relationships.
Prepare and deliver oral presentations. Develop a variety of correspondence and other documentation.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years' experience. (Master's degree and 4 years is sufficient as well). Military Education Level (command and general staff college service equivalent) of military schooling plus 5 years of task related experience OR a combined 10 years of military operational experience (5 of which earned as E-6 or O-3 or above) can be used in lieu of a degree.
Experience in and with the Aeromedical Evacuation (AE) enterprise and the En-Route Care (ERC) system.
Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact and have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated skills in solving problems, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance (an Interim clearance is required to commence task work).
