Short Description
Perform Medical Physicist Assistant tests, quality control tests and radiation surveys on imaging equipment and radioactive material use. Manage the health system personnel radiation dosimeter program and survey meter calibration program. Perform other radiation safety and image quality tasks under the direction of the Radiation Safety Officer.
Maintain required documentation.
Experience Required
At least 3 years performing quality control tests on radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging equipment.
Preferred: One year of performing Medical Physicist Assistant quality control surveys on radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required, BA/BS preferred.
Completion of Radiologic Technologist Degree Program.
License/Certification Requirements
Current radiologic technologist license
AART certified Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred: NJDEP Medical Physicist Assistant License
