We are a group of 57 oncology sub-specialists dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers lung, breast, gynecological, colorectal, prostate cancer and others as well as many blood disorders. The primary focus of this physician is the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a variety of different cancers which include malignancies. Our physicians are experts in Medical Oncology surgeries; the administration and management of chemotherapy; and the indication for radiation therapy for different types of cancers.

We have 12 clinic locations in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, and satellite clinics serving greater Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. At Minnesota Oncology, our clinical teams provide care based on the most current research evidence and technology available.

This unit is a 28 Bed unit that cares for adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions, surgical interventions and surgical oncology needs. About this position: * This position works 48 hours every two weeks, with an opportunity to pick up additional shifts * 8 hour shifts, on the night shift (11:00 pm to 7:30 am) * $1.00/hour shift differential * Working every other weekend * Benefit Eligible (This includes medical, dental, paid time off, retirement options and more!) Responsibilities/Job Description The Nursing Assistant (NA) is responsible for assisting the nurse in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies. The Nursing Assistant does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse. May be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager/charge nurse. The NA will: * Provides basic patient care, i.e. activities of daily living, positioning, ambulating, answering call lights * Assists RN in monitoring patient condition by accurately taking vital signs, recording weights, measuring input/output, and recording oxygen saturation levels. * Reports unusual findings to the RN in a timely manner * Transports patients, equipment, and supplies * Prepares rooms for admissions * Stocks supplies, organizes patient/unit areas, and cleans equipment Keywords: Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA, NA, PCA, Personal Care Attendant Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Requires previous experience as a Nursing Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant OR currently a nursing student with at least 1 semester of nursing clinicals completed. * BLS for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications: * Strongly prefer Nursing Assistant training and 1 year of hospital based Nursing Assistant experience. * Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a diverse patient population, multi-tasking abilities, excellent customer service, communication and teamwork skills Fairview Health Services Burnsville MN
