Location: Tyler, TX 75701 Pay Range: $18 - $20/hr depending on experience level Role Overview:

We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join a healthcare clinic in Tyler, TX . In this role, you will provide essential administrative support, manage front-office operations, and deliver exceptional customer service to patients. This position is a Contract to Hire opportunity where you will receive cross-training in patient check-in, check-out, and scheduling. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Front Desk Operations : Welcome patients, check them in, verify demographic and insurance information, and ensure a smooth check-out process. Scheduling : Coordinate patient appointments (e.g., follow-up visits, measurements, care plans). Payment Collection : Collect out-of-pocket patient payments (copays, deductibles, etc.) and provide receipts.

Patient Communication : Answer incoming calls, communicate wait times, and assist patients with clinic services and programs. Administrative Support : Assist the team with obtaining additional patient information as needed and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system. Concierge Services : Support patient experience programs and provide information on available resources, such as support groups.

Strong customer service skills and a warm, welcoming demeanor. Problem-solving abilities with a focus on learning and adapting to new processes, especially in healthcare settings. Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred, but not required). Previous experience in a medical office or with EMR systems (NextGen experience is a plus). Ability to multi-task and maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a medical office setting. Knowledge of EMR systems (NextGen). Familiarity with insurance, billing, and reimbursement protocols (HIPAA, state and federal laws). Typing speed of 40 words per minute (accuracy is key). Bilingual (Spanish/English) – a significant plus
