Overview
Works in collaboration with the providers to assess, plan, provide exemplary patient care and implement a plan of care. Orders, interprets and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Certified Medical Assistant.
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or a minimum of 2 year experience in a medical assistant role that included medication administration.
Experience: 3 years previous medical / physician office experience preferred. Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
Performs other duties as assigned. Individual will possess commensurate combination of education, experience and qualifications.
Licensure/Certification: BLS/CPR (or earned within 90 days of hire), required. Annual UAP agreement with provider, required.
Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing, required.
