Position Purpose: Provide hands-on training to staff on various aspects of their job functions and responsibilities. Liaise to ensure training curriculum and content reflect the latest state-level requirements for the Medical Management teams specific to the local health plan products.
Facilitate in-person and virtual clinical and non-clinical trainings
Develop, in conjunction with subject matter experts, plan-specific curriculum content and teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
Coordinate training needs with preceptors within specific health plans
Evaluate training needs and effectiveness of training programs, and communicate results to management
Share best training practices with other trainers
Research, analyze, and recommend external training programs
Travel as required per business needs, up to 25%
Associate's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
2 years of training experience, preferably in a managed care or healthcare environment.
Position will require knowledge and understanding of Utilization Management and/or Case Management.
Learning and development including adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies experience highly preferred.
Valid driver's license may be required
