About Our Career Opportunity

Summit Laboratory, a division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking a MT or MLT to join our laboratory technical team. This is a Full-time opportunity.

This is an EVENING shift position. Workong four 10-hour shifts per week,with a rotating day off.

Working hours are 5:00 p.m. - 3:30 a.m. NO weekends or Holidays.

Summit Central Laboratory is a very busy, high volume, automated core laboratory. We performed 8.4 million tests last year in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and molecular.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bchelors or Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE: One year of laboratory experience preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Current Tennessee State License as a Medical Technologist or a Medical Laboratory Technician preferred but not required. ASCP certification required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS # #Minimum Education Graduate from accredited college offering a NCCLS approved Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist program, or one year of specialized training in a certified school acceptable to the Tennessee Department of Health. # #Minimum Work Experience 2 years related laboratory experience preferred. # #Required Licenses/Certifications for position MLT or MT by the State of Tennessee Division of Health Related Boards required Certification byeither ASCP, AMT, or ABB required; ASCP certification is preferred. # #Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Basic knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology. Skill in both verbal and written communication. Is able to multitask, handle stress appropriately, and work in a fast-paced environment.
