Trained certified professional who performs and processes and tests on body fluids and biological specimens to diagnose and treat disease.
Primary emphasize will be with all aspects of the microbiology department to include culture plating, culture preparation and identification, Inventory and Quality control.
Maintain a professional relationship with health care members, including initiating and entertaining physician consultations and requests for testing specifics.
Self directed continuing education in annual changes of testing procedures.
Participation in departmental PI, QA and QC programs.
Other duties related to workload needs in laboratory.
