Medical Lab Technologist

Our Lab is hiring a full-time Medical Technologist to join their team!

This is a 40 hour work week. Rotating weekends/Holidays 4 10 hour days 9:30-8 or 5 8 hour days 11:30-8pm.

This position is eligible for up to a $1,000 recruitment/ retention bonus

This person is responsible for assisting the Laboratory Manager in the coordination of laboratory activities. They will provide accurate, timely and cost effective testing of patient samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in compliance and harmony with the quality management system.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

• Perform technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology.

• Maintain records of procedure performance, patient results and quality control in the laboratory.

• Report test results following clinic protocols drawing special alerts to physicians and/or nurses on "red flag" results.

• Review relevant laboratory reports for extraordinary results and clerical errors before they are reported to the providers; including reports on procedures processed in reference laboratories.

• Maintain supplies and equipment in accordance with defined policies and protocols, and logs preventative and remedial maintenance of equipment and performance of equipment, including daily temperature checks.

• Perform scheduled proficiency tests.

• Comply with all policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness, infection control.

• Maintain a safe and clean environment by cleaning areas daily, washing counters, emptying trash containers, cleaning up spills, preparing bio hazardous materials for departure, and all other duties necessary to sustain an appropriate work area.

Annual Salary Range $28.75- $41.00
