Medical Imaging Assistant

Perform a variety of tasks involved in the performance of medical imaging scans and procedures. Greets patients, verifies patient procedure, obtains script; necessary paper work and notifies technologist responsible for exam.

Assists the patient while getting on and off the exam table as needed. Ensures rooms are clean, in order, stocked with linens/supplies and monitors inventory. Communicates needs to the technologist.

Maintains accurate patient log for permanent records and is responsible for promptly entering data into Medi-tech system upon exam completion. Transports patients within the hospital and to parking lot if needed. Explains and educates the patients and their family members regarding tests# exam procedures#etc.

Prepares room for technologist prior to exams. # High school diploma or GED. BLS certification preferred will be required. Salary Range: $17.25 - $25.12 Pay Grade: 14 Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
