Master's degree in Medical Illustration or Biomedical Visualization or related field

Desired Qualifications

Extensive medical and anatomical knowledge. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop an Adobe Illustrator.

Position Purpose

Produce creative and complex medical drawings, illustrations, diagrams and/or models for use in publications, exhibits, consultations, research and/or teaching activities. Work involves planning, designing, organizing and producing a variety of medical illustrations requiring considerable knowledge of science and graphic presentation

Job Duties

Produce medical drawings or illustrations to be used for publication in curriculum, various journals, informational materials, books, reports, exhibits and presentations. Creates and designs three-dimensional medical and anatomical artwork using a variety of techniques.

Research anatomical and surgical illustrations with a high level of accuracy and realism. Work with currently existing illustration assets to create new or modified versions while staying consistent to the illustration style.
