Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Children's Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) is seeking a Medical Education Programs Coordinator to join the Division of Hospital Medicine Operations team to provide administrative support by performing program administrative functions.

This role plays a crucial part in supporting the administrative functions of the division, particularly in assisting fellows during their two-year fellowship and student observers rotating through the division. Additionally, the position involves managing various dashboards and reports, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and contributing to the overall success of the division. Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to fellows throughout their fellowship program.

  • Assist with the orientation and onboarding of new fellows, ensuring a smooth transition into the program.

  • Manage dashboards and reports to track program progress and outcomes effectively.

  • Support the accreditation process as prescribed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address business needs related to data management and reporting.

  • Uphold accountability by ensuring fellows meet program deadlines and requirements.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ year experience supporting a training program or equivalent project organizing and administrative experience.

  • Prior experience in medical education programs coordination or similar roles highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with accreditation standards, particularly those set by ACCME, preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support fellows while maintaining accountability.

  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools/software.

Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor's Degree preferred -Minimum 2 years of college coursework required.

Pay Scale Information

$46,800.00-$80,850.00

CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
