Responsibilities

  • Provides both administrative supervision and support to residents/interns/fellows

  • Act as a liaison between residents and hospital administration when necessary

  • Establish relationships and act as a liaison to other Hospitals, internal departments, and divisions regarding resident recruitment, orientation, annual program Affiliation Agreements, and external rotations

  • Interpret and apply ACGME, other national accrediting agencies, and hospital policies to support compliance

  • Assist Manager in compliance with ACGME requirements

  • Support the GME Committee including scheduling monthly meetings as well as preparing meeting material, agendas, and recording minutes

  • Portray positive demeanor with program directors, residents and outside institutions

  • Oversee department-level trainee orientation and graduation

  • Maintain Sponsoring Institution's master agreements and PLA's

  • Oversee department-level trainee orientation and graduation and maintain a working knowledge of resident/ assessment tools (i.e. New Innovations), ERAS, NRMP, board certification requirements, rules regarding Internal Medical and Family Medicine Graduates, visas, and licensures

  • Monitor and track accreditation activities of the Sponsoring Institution and program to ensure compliance with ACGME Institutional Requirements, Program Requirements, and program-specific Review Committee program requirements to include coordinating the Annual Institutional Review, Annual Program Evaluation, and Special Review Evaluations

  • Suggest revisions and update GME-specific policies and procedures, residency house staff manual, tri-fold and residency poster

  • Organize reports from all residency programs relating to duty hours, contracts etc.

  • Coordinate CME process for accreditation & Medical Grand Rounds Process

  • Obtain catering for meetings, as needed both on-site and off-site

  • Perform any and all other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Two (2) years of healthcare experience
