VCA Cottage Animal Hospital in Walnut Creek, California is seeking a highly experienced Veterinarian to lead our talented team as Medical Director.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to continue practicing medicine while establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital like a practice owner. Full-time, 4 days/week, the hospital is open 6 days/week, M-F 730-6pm, Saturday 8-5 pm and closed Sunday and all major holidays.

Walnut Creek is a city in Contra Costa County, California, located 16 miles east of the city of Oakland in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Although not as large as neighboring Concord, Walnut Creek serves as a hub for the neighboring cities within central Contra Costa County, due in part to its location at the junction of the highways from Sacramento and San Jose (I-680) and San Francisco/Oakland (SR-24), as well as it's accessibility by BART. .

Our hospital has a good reputation and has been part of the community since 1978. We have a large senior community (Rossmoor) of 10,244 people located just two miles away from which we draw a large portion of our clients.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $66,560 - $180K. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
