Job Description:

Plan, direct and coordinate clinical and medical operations as well as provide leadership for the strategic development of clinical and medical services and programs currently in and considered for the department.

Responsibilities:

Develop, expand and implement organizational medical/clinical policies and procedures for the facility;
Participate in the maintenance of record management systems;
Develop, expand and implement programs to promote clinical excellence;
Establish objectives and evaluate operational criteria for the facility;
Provides medical leadership in coordination with the medical, nursing, lab, and pharmacy staff;
Leads inter-disciplinary care planning, consulting and collaborating with attending Psychiatrists, Nurses, RDs, and Clinical Therapists;
Provides staff training;
Maintain communication between governing boards, clinical staff, and department leaders by attending board meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning;
Participates in any changes in integrated healthcare managing systems, such as restructuring, technological innovations and shifts in the focus of care;
Monitor the use of diagnostic services, facilities, and staff to ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, services or equipment;
Participates in utilization review, consultations, and case management;
Provides direct client care including individual, group and family therapy as indicated;
Participates in community outreach and marketing activities;
Promotes exceptional customer service throughout the program;
Facilitates active Client and family participation in the care process;
Other duties as assigned;

Plan, implement and administer programs and services in the facility;
Plan activity reports to inform Corporate on the status and implementation plans of programs, services, and quality initiatives;
Provide Marketing and Education internally and externally;
Review and analyze facility activities and data to aid planning and risk management and to improve service utilization;
Consult with medical, business and community groups to discuss service problems, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans, and promote health programs;
Conducting recruitment, hiring, on boarding, discipline and ongoing training of all medical staff; and
Conduct performance evaluations and establish core competencies for all medical staff.
General Requirements

MD Degree with significant senior level experience;
Must have or obtain Controlled Substance License, along with DEA;
Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat mental health and substance abuse. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventative healthcare measures;
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources;
Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and strategies to promote effective quality care;
A record of success when dealing with regulatory agencies;
Must be flexible with work hours and willing to travel;
Demonstrated experience in successfully leading the clinical development of behavioral health programs; and
Previous expertise in managing complex collaborations of internal and external teams in support of effectively executing clinical programming.

Must be detail oriented;
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines as well as be flexible and dependable;
Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills;
Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar;
Principles and processes for providing client services. This includes client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction;
Human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and care of behavioral and affective disorders;
Exceptional customer/client service with the ability to resolve service issues;
Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards (Joint Commission, DHS);
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions;
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one;
Ability to handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency;
Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills;
Being aware of others' reactions, understanding why they react as they do, and adjusting ones own actions in relation to others;
Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences;

Communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing so others will understand;
