The MSO Medical Director reports to the VP, Medical Group Operations of PHP and the Chief Operating Officer of the MSO and is responsible for the oversight of the functions related to the quality of care, performance metrics, and HCC coding. The key responsibilities include directing the utilization and quality management, credentialing, health plan and physician contracting, claims payment and MSO administrative functions requiring medical oversight/input. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the MSO Medical Director is accountable for leading in a manner consistent with the organization's mission, values, leadership model and customer service philosophy; assists the VP and System CMO in developing and implementing programs, policies and procedures that spans the continuum of care from ambulatory to inpatient and post-acute. With the focus to achieve strategic objectives and assure that the overall quality of medical care delivered meets or exceeds current medical standards, both in substance and in perception all the while keeping in line with pertinent health plan policies, guidelines and benefits. The MSO Medical Director will demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills to lead the group culture to achieve and sustain excellent performance.

M.D. graduation from an accredited medical school
Residency completion in an appropriate specialty with Board Certification
Minimum of 5 years in clinical practice
Prior medical administration experience in multi-specialty groups/IPAs and health plans
MHA or other advanced health industry or business degree
Lean Six Sigma certification
