Our Mission:

MDLDP is dedicated to internally developing undergraduates into future business leaders through challenging assignments within the Endoscopy Commercial organization. These experiences, paired with a structured developmental cadence and personalized coaching provide the platform for career advancement at Boston Scientific.

Program Overview:

MDLDP will prepare participants for roles of increasing responsibility in the Endoscopy Commercial Organization. Participants will begin their career participating in a 9 month comprehensive rotational program at the corporate office residing within the Boston area. Here they will gain insight and experience pertaining to the functional departments that support the Field Sales Organization. They will spend 4-8 weeks in each rotation learning the main objectives and functions of the department, and taking an active role in special projects. Throughout the 9 month program participants will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and gaining experience both internally and externally working directly in the field with various Field Sales employees. In addition, participants will also have the opportunity to experience international exposure to better understand the global aspects of the organization and business.

Once completing the 9 month internal rotation, participants will relocate to a determined field sales location and participate as a customer facing educational and territory support sales role. Eligible participants will advance into an Account Specialist role with the introduction of sales revenue responsibilities, in addition to educational and clinical support.

The program is designed to give participants exposure to diverse functions across the organization and the opportunity to pursue personal development and future positions across several functions including Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Sales Training, Healthcare Economics, Sales Operations, and Customer Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete 9 month comprehensive rotational program in various departments and gain insight and understanding of different functional roles and departments that support the Field Sales Organization.

  • Develop and implement a proactive plan that involves clinical and service support, with Region Managers and team members, to maintain market share and increase the quality of service to customers.

  • Advance our mission of transforming lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients around the world

  • Conduct excellent product in-servicing, product evaluations, and continuing education programs.

  • Assist in the BSC sponsored professional education activities by participating in on-site and field training workshops.

  • Provide timely updates to multiple managers including business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.

  • Prepare comprehensive plans, by account, which reflects overall Endoscopy Division strategy.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales expenses, customer files and field sales reports required.

  • Conduct all sales activities according to Travel & Entertainment (T&E) guidelines, Industry and Integrity Policies.

Qualifications and Characteristics:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business / Engineering, or other technical / relevant coursework

  • Strong record of academic achievement and leadership experiences

  • Demonstrate analytical, technical, communication and problem solving skills

  • Able to build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented

  • Willingness to relocate within in the US and open to significant regional travel (up to 70%)

About the role: Boston Scientific is recruiting for a passionate story teller and Communications Manager who can make meaningful contributions to our business by helping to amplify the perspective of executive leadership in support of the company's overarching brand across internal and external stakeholders and channels. This position reports into the Corporate Communications team and works directly with the senior vice president and president for the Endoscopy division, with responsibility for providing strategic communications counsel and execution, including project management of internal and external communications programs aligned with business objectives. Your responsibilities include: * Serving as counselor and thought partner to senior leadership on divisional messaging and communication strategies to engage internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers and financial analysts. * Keeping a pulse on business objectives and employee engagement in collaboration with key functional leaders, enabling new and effective methods for developing compelling and interactive internal communications. * Advising on and creating written communications, polished presentations, videos and succinct talking points for internal audiences, as well as external-facing thought leadership opportunities, including content for the Boston Scientific website and social media platforms. * Providing project management and organizational support including cross functional coordination and vendor management to ensure deliverables are of high quality, on time and within budget. * Learning, listening to, understanding and implementing the voice of Endoscopy divisional leadership and the Boston Scientific brand voice to maintain authenticity and style across all communications. * Coordinating and managing the cross-functional review and approval of content with company executives, divisional marketing, clinical, legal and regulatory leaders. What we're looking for: Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent. * Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant internal and external communications, project coordination and content creation within a corporate or agency environment.
