Job Title: Medical Device Educator

Position Overview:

Qualified Pharmacy Technicians will be tasked with educating end users on a new product in hospital pharmacy facilities. The product being supported is a closed system drug transfer device used in an oncology setting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and consultation in support of end-user education needs

  • Conduct key activities related to product conversions in select facilities inclusive of but not limited to education and expertise

  • Assess customer needs and assist with resolving issues stemming from lack of product knowledge or understanding

  • Follow-up with key accounts and customers to assess unmet education and needs as it relates to successful product implementation

Position Requirements:

  • Active and current professional license

  • Updated TB test within the last 12 months

  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician

  • Oncology experience of at least 2 years

  • Must be available at least one week per month

  • 2- 3 years minimum hospital experience preferred

  • Must be able to lift minimum of 40 lbs

  • Leadership experience preferred

  • Enjoys presenting to groups

  • Customer-focused

  • National travel required

We are currently seeking a Pharma & Medical Device Sales Specialist to join our team. The incumbent will be responsible for significantly increasing Videojet's market share in the market located in the Midwest or Southern USA. This position will build long term profitable relationships by understanding how and where we can add value to our customer's business through the use of our full market basket of available product and service offerings, including all coding and marking technologies. Primary Responsibilities: * Work with customer key decision makers (VP, Director and Project Level personnel) to understand current and future business opportunities related to product and package coding, including timeframe, specific requirements, and potential competition * Provide local leadership, direction and ensure compliance of all selling activities in designated Pharma & Medical accounts in a matrixed organization * Engage local sales organizations: Work with regional sales teams, OEM team, and solutions team to ensure our field-organization is highly engaged and works * Interact with Product Managers to identify and act on Pharma and Medical market trends, areas of potential competitive advantage, current product or service shortcomings, and unmet market needs * Uncover and target the annual spend of accounts for Videojet type equipment and services. * Obtain corporate level agreements to use Videojet products and services, broadly as the "preferred" supplier as well as for specific projects * Continually expanding our share of the customer wallet * Concentrate on share gain and site penetration especially into competitive strongholds Experiences/Attributes: * Education - Bachelor's degree * Work Experience - A minimum of 5 years of experience with a proven track record of capital equipment sales within the industry. Sales of packaging line related equipment preferred * Special Skills - Sufficient technical ability to understand the key operating principles of a wide array of various printing or identification technologies and the skills to propose multi-product integrated solutions that address customer specific needs * Travel Required - 60% of the time. Throughout the US Key Competencies: * Pharma Industry Domain Knowledge - able to communicate with personnel within the Pharma & Medical industry in "their language" and propose solutions that directly address their specific needs * Communication skills - an ability to create and clearly, crisply communicate unique value propositions to the customer and manage complex sales issues within the Videojet organization. * Team Player- Need to coordinate with other Videojet sales people and support personnel to achieve a desired, agreed upon outcome * Ability to identify and communicate needed product line enhancements for Pharma & Medical markets, and work with Marketing & Product Development to implement needed changes. * Leadership skills - an ability to drive sales through targeted customers and follow through at varying levels of the Videojet organization towards on time delivery of complex coding and marking projects * Solution Selling - ability to follow up and stay on top of long sales cycle of multiple projects whose requirements often change over time First Year Expectations: * Demonstrate deep understanding of all Videojet product/technology offerings and how to apply the equipment in various applications (customer needs, competitors, target verticals, relevant applications, and dynamics) based on VOC gained through sales calls, internet research and networking * Drive site audits as needed (following standard work) for defined accounts * Understand Organizational Structure for all defined accounts.
