Behavioral Health Solutions is a team of mental health treatment professionals who specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services in Skilled Nursing Facilities and through SNF, Outpatient, and Telehealth. Position Summary:
The Credentialing Specialist will oversee the Credentialing process for providers working as Employees or Independent Contractors with BHS. These duties include:

  • Process credentialing and re-credentialing applications for healthcare providers.
  • Review, verify, and submit credentialing applications.
  • Set up and maintain provider information in an online credentialing database system.
  • Track license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
  • Maintain and protect the confidential records of all protected provider proceedings as required by law.
  • Oversight of the initial credentialing onboarding process: Coordinate with recruiting and onboarding of all new hires.
  • Provider Data Management: Manage the completeness and accuracy of provider demographic data and attestations in the credentialing database and online systems.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Manage the provider compliance process to ensure there are no gaps in licensing and certifications; ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain active and termed files of all providers in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Quality Assurance (QA): Perform QA of credentialing packets and data systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive provider information confidentially and with discretion.
  • Medical Provider Credentialing Knowledge: Experience with medical provider and facility credentialing or similar work within a healthcare setting preferred.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years of medical credentialing experience; or Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist status.
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive provider information confidentially and with discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of EMR systems such as AthenaOne.
  • Ability to adhere to strict attendance and punctuality expectations.
  • Ability to attend to details ensuring accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work both independently, as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to identify and proactively solve problems.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
