Responsibilities
Medical Claims/Repricing Assistant will be responsible for providing clerical support to the Repricing Department. The Assistant will be responsible for data entry of billing information, verification of ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes, and submission of reconsiderations.
Research, respond (by phone and email) and track inquiries in a timely manner that come into the Provider Relations mailbox
Conduct quality assurance on invoices
Provide customer service for our providers (Doctor Offices & Hospitals)
Answer inbound calls from external medical providers
Have the ability to work within turnaround time standards so claims team can meet prompt pay claim requirements per State Law
Perform other duties as assigned
Will learn workers compensation state rules and regulations and implement them in the Medical Bill Repricing process
Occasional overtime is offered
Training & Courses: The following will be provided by the company.
Classroom and hands on training. You will be cross trained in different work-flows for the ability to grow within the department
Must be willing to complete an Intro to Insurance course
California exam, Materials and Test
Medical coding course, offered, but not required

Qualifications
All candidates should have experience in a medical billing office environment, have a thorough understanding of billing and coding procedures, solid understanding of medical terminology and have strong computer experience.
