  • Handling and resolving complaints while on the phone with customers

  • Determining the clients issue?s, offering solutions, and providing follow-up as needed

  • Making and taking 100-120 inbound and outbound member phone calls weekly

  • Exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills

  • Contacting customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and planned adjustments ? 6 +months of call center experience is highly preferred ? Possess a high school diploma or GED ? Specialty Pharmacy Experience is highly preferred. (MDR is higher caliber drug review) ? Self-motivated. Ability to multi-task, and navigate between multiple screens ? High attention to detail ? Work quickly but catch small things ? Monday ? Individual will provide direct assistance through in-person, email, or phone contacts to Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) and Insurance Affordability Programs (IAP) applicants and recipients; other DHS clients; and the public. The incumbent must be able to research, analyze, resolve and/or facilitate resolution of appropriate policies and procedures related to Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) while effectively communicating information to guide customers through MHCP processes and procedures to meet the needs of the audience and the situation. Along with program support, this individual will complete various financial transactions. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Two years of customer service experience. * Basic math skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, or divide correctly. * Computer skills sufficient to research and navigate independently. * Proficiency with basic office software, such as MS office products Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge and experience working with multiple Minnesota Health Care Programs, including MinnesotaCare, Medical Assistance, Advanced Premium Tax Credits and or Qualified Health Plans. * Understanding of HIPAA rules, Minnesota's data privacy laws. * Experience with the following: * Decision-making and customer service responsibility within a complex policy environment (e.g. applying eligibility, insurance, health care, or service industry policy while dealing with a high volume customer base). * Multi-functional and complex payment, data and eligibility system. * Health care billing and payment transactions. * Administering and applying policies, procedures, and information sufficient to assist customers regarding billing, eligibility and benefit coverage.
