Overview

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is hiring for remote Reimbursement Coordinators to join our team. Reimbursement Coordinators are responsible for home health billing and collections for traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, commercial plans, and military payors.

In this role, you will work in various payor portals to obtain claim status and/or payment status and to resolve unpaid or denied claims, identify payor short-pay trends, and contact payors to determine next steps to resolve claim issues.

This position is eligible for 100% remote but the employee must reside in a state where Enhabit currently operates.

Responsibilities

  • Complete billing tasks daily; ensure minimal write off of reimbursement dollars.

  • Monitor and maintain assigned accounts.

  • Collect all necessary information to prepare claims and follow-through with corrections, resubmission, or appeals to resolve balances.

  • Submit clean claims to various insurance companies; complete submissions electronically or by paper according to payor guidelines.

  • Research, correct, and resubmit rejected and denied claims. Prepare appeals to denied claims.

  • Review and interpret remits or EOBs to determine claim issues and take correct steps to rectify claim balances.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two years of previous experience with home health or Medicare billing and collections is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of the Medicare appeals process is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage plans and military plans preferred.

  • Must have demonstrated competency with computers, including advanced typing skills.

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with a desire and ability to maintain excellent records.

  • Must be able to multi-task and problem-solve in a high volume, interactive environment.

Compensation = $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
