Accountemps is recruiting experienced Medical Billers in the North County San Diego area. Medical Billers with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail can get their career moving in the right direction. You would primarily handle inbound and outbound collections calls with reputable organizations.

Responsibilities:
Authorizations, claims submission, follow-up denials, collections, posting, and generating reports. Ability to research unpaid claims, determine and correct cause, follow up as needed
Review explanation of benefits to ascertain that claim processed and paid correctly
Complete adjustment forms if any adjustments need to be made to an account and attach all supporting documentation
Gathers and interprets data from system and understands appropriate course of action to take and initiates time-sensitive and strategic steps resulting in payment
Identifying problem payers and notify Manager and Payer Relations in timely manner
Returning calls to payers within 1 business day

Requirements

Must have a minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience
Strong knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10s, and EOBs
Must have MedicAid or MediCal billing experience
Willingness to adapt and a positive attitude
