Accountemps is looking for a motivated Medical Billing Specialist with strong technical skills and a high attention to detail. In this role you will be responsible for daily cash posting, reconciliation of electronic and manual payments, analyze balancing report to ensure accurate posting, report balancing issues to the department supervisor.   • Retrieving payer remits from various sites for posting

  • Investigating unidentified payments to ensure payments are applied to appropriate accounts

  • Identify report balancing issues to the department supervisor

  • Billing and reimbursement for specific patient accounts

  • Submitting bills to insurance organizations and patients

  • Working closely with other functional teams to ensure data quality and consistency

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing or within the revenue cycle

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong knowledge of explanation of benefits (EOBs) - Must have experience working with Medicaid and Medicare

  • Prior Epic software experience is a plus

  • MUST have significant experience with billing items and following up on items

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

Position Summary Maintain and expand sales of company's portfolio of products in existing accounts and develop new business within assigned territory. Act alone and as liaison for various personnel to increase the company's market penetration. Continually develop growth opportunities within assigned territory.
