Medical Biller Coder

Job Description Job Description Job Description: We seek an accurate, detailed-oriented Medical Biller/Coder to join our team.

You will be key in reviewing medical records and collecting, monitoring, documenting, and submitting claims and encounters. You will also gather and analyze HEDIS performance data. Candidates must be bilingual (English & Spanish), with a strong work ethic and professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Review and analyze patient medical records to determine all appropriate diagnoses and procedures performed. • Complying with medical coding guidelines and policies. • Thoroughly, accurately, and timely collection and data enter clinical information from medical records into a database by HEDIS specifications. • Timely submit billing claims to insurance companies. • Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation of all billing and claim denials. • Assist the office manager with any special projects related to coding issues. • Help download/create/clean reports provided by the payers. • Completes assignments within specified timelines. • Skill in working independently. Requirements: • Strong working knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English & Spanish) • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Exceptional customer service skills and work as a team • Computer literacy with high knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word • Medical Billing and Coding Certification required or ability to obtain within one year.
