Medical Biller And Coder

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized medical biller and coder to join our growing team. As a part of our billing and coding team you will review and accurately code consultations for reimbursement as well as account receivable processes.

Medical Billing and Coding Duties and Responsibilities Receive and review patient charts and documents for completion and accuracy Properly code all patient charts and submit to appropriate party for reimbursement in a timely manner Update and maintain document lists Ensure proper coding on provider documentation Follow coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Posting payments and responding to first and second level rebuttals in a timely manner Conduct collection calls on unpaid claims Performs additional duties assigned by Department Manager as needed Medical Billing and Coding Requirements and Qualifications High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred Medical Coding Certificate; CPC or CPMA by AAPC or AHIMA preferred Minimum one (1) year of medical billing or coding experience Understanding of medical terminology required Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team Strong computer skills in data entry, coding, and knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite) Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Company Description A healthcare management group, URAC-accredited as an independent review organization (IRO).
