Medical Auditor Assistant

Job Summary

Reports to the Manager of Medical Audit. Provides support to all members of the Medical Audit and Reimbursement Departments.

Exercises independent judgment, and works under general supervision. Responsible for providing support to the Medical Audit and the Reimbursement Departments by entering charges and credits direct from departments or as a result of audits, by assembling and preparing accounts for the auditors to review, and by entering data into an access database or onto spreadsheets. Types correspondence, prepares spreadsheets and reports, maintains the audit schedule, and performs other tasks as assigned. • High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of experience in health care and/or managed care.

• Medical terminology required.

• Experience dealing with insurance companies and/or utilization review preferred. Must be computer literate and have proficiency in working in Word and Excel spreadsheets.
