ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday

• Friday, 7:00 am

• 4:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of one or more large or medium sized wastewater treatment plants as defined by the USEPA. Ensure that wastewater treatment plant effluent meets the limits of all regulations including, but not limited to those associated with the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and other rules and regulations promulgated by the USEPA, TCEQ and other regulatory agencies.

• Prepare monthly reports required by discharge permits.

• Respond to requests of regulatory agencies regarding facility inspections and permit violations.

• Oversee performance of sampling and analysis of wastewater in various stages of the treatment process and ensure proper protocols are in place for wastewater treatment process control.

• Use computerized work management system to ensure accurate documentation of planned and emergency work, including associated on-the-job training requirements.

• Participate in regular strategic planning, multi-skilled worker training planning, and root cause analysis sessions with Planner Schedulers, other Work Coordinators, and Training Coordinators.

• Assist in the hiring process, developing job descriptions, job analysis questionnaires and pre-employment interview questionnaires, and by conducting pre-employment interviews.

• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree

• Minimum of four (4) years of related experience

• A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered

• TCEQ Class A Wastewater Operator License preferred

• A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
