Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.

  • Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.

  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given

  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.

  • Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

  • Triage incoming patients; perform CPR and other emergency measures, if necessary

  • Escort patients to exam rooms; take histories and vital signs; prepare patients for examination.

  • Utilize electronic medical software to record patient information in compliance with HIPAA/confidentiality guidelines

  • Provide wound care and perform suture removal as directed by provider

  • Ensure that all radiological equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, immediately reporting any equipment malfunction to the Clinical Coordinator

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Two years of college preferred.

Successful completion of training as a medical assistant. Successful completion of Radiology/X-Ray training.

Current ARRT x-ray certification.

Technology proficiency: Ability to use practice management and EMR software with confidence and to utilize online lab programs accurately and independently.

Basic Life Support (BLS).

VIEW JOBS 3/9/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-07T00:00 Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders. * Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures. * Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology. * Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures. * Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation. * Processes the images for radiologist review. * Adheres to department radiation safety practices. * Obtains brief history and records all pertinent information on finished exams (dose information, patient data, dates, views, etc.) * Verifies the patient by checking identification arm band and prepares patient for the procedure. * Explains the procedure to the patient. * Performs other functions as required or assigned. Minimum Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Successful Completion of formal Nuclear Medicine Technology Program Registered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. One year of direct patient care work experience in nuclear medicine preferred.
