Medical Assistant- Women's Health

Currently seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant for a private medical OB/GYN office in West Hartford, CT!

Specialty: OB/GYN

Medical Assistant daily role:

• Assist physicians with all patient interactions

• Record vital signs, height, weight, blood pressure, medication review, smoking status and any other pertinent information into our Electronic Medical Record software that will be necessary for the physician to make an informed diagnosis/healthcare decision

• Responsible to successfully complete any and all assessment and plans provided by any physician within our organizational community

• Calling patients, explaining test/lab results, contacting pharmacies for patient medication questions/refills, etc.

• Responsible to set up rooms for any and all obstetric/gynecologic exams and procedures

Schedule & Locations:

• Home office would be West Hartford but must be comfortable floating between satellite offices in West Hartford, Hartford, & Glastonbury if needed.

• Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm, must be flexible depending on providers hours

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 6+ medical assistant experience

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program required (medical assistant diploma/certificate)

• Certification required by end of contract period

• Women's Health or OB/GYN experience preferred but not required
